I read on top 10 reviews that bitDefender (antivirus software) and Webroot Software (anti spyware) are on top of their lists. But my question is that does bitDefender also provide anti spyware program as effective as Webroot software? If not, which software out of those two should i buy?
Can those two softwares be use on multiple computers?

AjitD asked:

Just before two days I’ve downloaded a crack file and when i executed, shit, it was a spyware, Avast 4.8 home has detected it but doing nothing.

In general it is Ok, but whenever i connect my system to internet it says “C:\documents & settings\app data\..\456.exe” and some other files. Then it creates some Executable files in “C:\” (windows drive).

I tried to find files by registry editor, but nothing worked.

Do i need to download any anti spyware program, if so then which is best and freely available?? or can I get rid off it by my Avast only?

There was also a message like rootkit hidden file.

Helppppppppppp. Thanks.
As u said guys, i have installed MalwareBytes’ anti malware and it has deleted some malwares as well, but Avast is still showing threats in form of ROOTKIT: HIDDEN FILE. I click on delete but when I restart my system it again shows error. What am I supposed to do???

Path is : C:\windows\system32\drivers\vibkdmzedumc.sys

oweaponx asked:

I suspect one of them may be causing others not to be able to update. How can I determine the problem?

This is what I have:

Adaware (from lavasoft): Currently, when I try to connect for updates, I keep getting an error, and am unable to connect. This has been going on for a week.

Spybot Search and Destroy: No probs. Possible that the SD Resident is the problem.

PC Tools Threat Fire & Firewall: I suspect it may be one of these that is causing the problem, but am not sure.

AVG: Anti-Virus & Anti-Spyware: No probs; could be causing the probs.

Panicware Pop-up Blocker: I don’t think this is causing the problems.

Spyware Terminator: This program just stopped working. I tried to unistall, and reinstall, but I can’t seem to reinstall it. “Windows cannot access the specific path…you may not have permission…” I know it had been working, until maybe a week ago. Then, when adware stopped working, I suspected a problem.
What I want to know is how I can determine which program may be interferring with me being able to reinstall Spyware Terminator (I like it), and preventing AdAware from getting updates. No other programs are having problems. Any help from tech gurus will be appreciated!

readit18 asked:

I use Ad-Aware as one of my anti-spyware programs. Recently, it seems to be searching for (and not finding) the Microsoft Word Suite that was originally installed. The dialogue box says to insert the CD into my D: drive and reinstall. Will restalling overwrite any of my Word or Excel files, or will it simply replace the ‘behind the scenes’ Word program?

I think I may have a virus. I’m not sure, but I want my computer to be safe. Right now, the programs that I have are McAfee antivirus software, Ad-Aware anti-spyware program, and Spybot – Search & Destroy malware, spyware and adware removal program. I want the best though, and to be honest, I don’t know if these are. I’ve tried to switch antivirus programs before, but that went terribly wrong, so I’m kind of hesitant about uninstalling McAfee. Any programs that I should have? Or are these programs alright? Any suggestions? Please… I need any help I can get! Please and thank you!
