i am still baffeled why this happened, as norton has usualy been good for me for catching viruses, but all of a sudden it let all this spyware through and there was nothing i could do. it was all up to date aswell. was free with BT, so hadnt run out or anything. but after this i do not trust it so an alternative to protect me from spyware adware viruses and a firewall would be great and i will remove my norton.
please could i have your opinions please?

When I put the computer in safe mode/safe mode with networking none of the icons come up I just can’t seem to get past the widows loading screen.

The computer now is able to get past the welcome screen but soon after; the computer begins to crash/ freeze.

I got a warning from my AVG that it found and removed a trojan (RealPlayer access). Since then my AVG Anti-Spyware and my AdAware 2007 will not run. In addition, I tried to uninstall AVG A-S, but the uninstall will not run either, and it will not reinstall . When I run SpyBot, it does not find anything. Do I need to “take it in”, or can someone help me? I am a basic user, so techno-talk is probably lost on me. If someone can tell me step-by-step what to do or what to buy, I would be very grateful. Thank you!!
