all I use is ad-aware and have no problems. I’ve run other spyware progs. after ad-aware and they found nothing else.

Not every program deletes every spy. They compliment each other. Personally, I have Adaware, Spybot, Ewido, Yahoo Spy and Microsoft Beta as well as (Symantec) Norton Internet Security. Better safe than sorry. AVG anti-virus is free and it’s GOOD.

Those should cover most spyware out there. I’d also get HijackThis, and use it as needed. Also download Webroot’s SpySweeper (it has a fully functional two week trial), but don’t install it until you need it. If you get hit with WinFixer, you’ll be glad you did.
